Guest Speaker: Paul Tessier, Massachusetts State Apiary Inspector

Paul will discuss pests, food stores, insulation, and ventilation

He will cover several different physical hive set ups including nucs and single deeps.

Paul will be on hand to answer your honey bee related questions.

Guest Speaker: Paul Tessier
Massachusetts State Apiary Inspector

Paul Tessier started in 2017 with MDAR as a Seasonal Inspector in the Apiary Program before moving to his current full time Inspector position in 2020. Some of his duties include monitoring commercial hives being imported into the State, regulating honey bee health issues and maintaining a teaching apiary on the campus of Bristol County Agricultural High School.

His family has been keeping a small sustainable apiary in Dighton, MA. for several years.

He is not only knowledgeable about honey bees and beekeeping in Massachusetts, but also passionate about providing support to beekeepers.
